On the second leg Francois Gonon took the lead from Valentin Novikov, but he stayed close behind (six seconds). With Jan Procházka's great run Czech Republic came up to third position after a 53 seconds gap. Right behind him Peter Öberg of Sweden. Then one minute gap and Norway on fifth, one more minute and Estonia on sixth place.
