Men's relay started
Friday, 21 August 2009 11:00

Men's startAt 11:00 the first runners of men's relay started the course. The venue is the same like the middle distance final was. The weather is similar, or even gonna be hotter today. First runners' course is 5.960 m / 240 m / 17 cp., second and third runners' one is 8.720-8.760 m / 350 m / 22-23 cp., expected winning time 36+53+53=142 minutes.

The reigning world champion, Great Britain (first runner Matthew Speake) isn't a favourite, same like a year ago. The top favourite is Switzerland, their team dominated the finals so far, but they couldn't collect any gold until now. Russia (first runner Dmitry Tsvetkov), France (first runner Philippe Adamski) and Sweden (first runner Davis Andersson) have good chance for a medal. Further relays possibly getting into top 6 are: Czech Republik (frist runner Tomás Dlabaja), Latvia (first runner Martins Sirmais) and Hungary (first runner Csaba Gösswein).
