Helena Jansson: "Wow! I feel crazy and I feel stressed out, because I can think only of the relay tomorrow. My legs are tingling and I don't know if it's because of happyness or stress, but it doesn't matter. I had a really good race. At the beginning I focused only on myself and the course all the way. I made a small mistake, I ran into a fence and there was gate, but it was just a couple of seconds. I'm happy that could run so fast and win the gold medal. In the arena I didn't hear that I'm in such a big lead. The Swedish coaches told me to concentrate on orienteering and I thought I am in a good position. I knew I had a good race, but I didn't know, that so good. I am just really happy that I could show such a good performance on a world championships, because this is the biggest thing you can ever achieve. And the best thing that can happen is that on the second place there is another Swedish. Tomorrow I will run third leg, I am really interested in relay, because this is my favourite, competing together with the team is the best thing to do."

Linnea Gustafsson: "I am surprised with this silver medal. I had a good race, but I didn't think that it could be a silver. It was really fun in the zoo, there were animals and people. I will not run in relay tomorrow, only in long on Sunday."

Simone Niggli: "I am very proud of this bronze. My performance wasn't that perfect, I did some wrong route choices, especially to the second control, and I lost a lot of time. But then it was like yesterday, never give up, and it was worth. The part inside the zoo was tricky, and there were fans and animals around, and I ran into a dead-end. The course was challenging and various, we didn't know too much about the zoo area, because there was no map of it, altogether it was a nice sprint competition."

Andrey Khramov: "I am very happy! My favourite discipline is the sprint, but not the sprint in forest, so I am very glad that I could win even in forest. I had a very good run, good speed and almost clear run. I have two more races this week, in relay we're trying to be as good as possible, on long distance my only goal is to survive."

Fabian Hertner: "I'm feeling good with these two guys here. I am a little surprised, it wasn't my goal to win a medal, but now I did, so I'm very happy. I know since beginning of July that I will run sprint here. I had a good preparation in spring, and in June I had a lot of competition, and my shape went down, but after that I trained very well and I got better and better. I didn't have a clean race, I had some problems in the forest and I ran into a dead-end in the zoo. I have the biggest chance in sprint, but I like all disciplines, and wouldn't like to be a specialist. This was my only race in Hungary, because the Swiss team is really strong and it's very tough to qualify, so from now I'm only celebrating."

Daniel Hubmann: "I am quite happy with my race, I did the same mistake like Fabian, and there were some controls where I was unsure and maybe slower, but the rest was really good. The course was more or less what we expected, in the zoo it was tricky and challenging and funny, but the forest was like on our trainings and the qualification. I am confidence for tomorrow (I will run the second leg) and Sunday. Long distance is the race I really like, and I hope I will have another good result."
